*Once your first composition goes through the submission process, SLC will use the information from the form below to create a public personal profile on SLM
Congratulations on becoming an official SL Composer! SLC is a resource website created to help you prepare and approve your music for publication on the SLM website. As an SL Composer, you can now access the “Submit Music” pages. To get started, all you need to do is fill out the information below.
Please note that even though you’ll now have access to submit compositions, not all submissions will be approved for distribution. *SLC will reject music if it is not:
- Musically Proficient – must demonstrate proficient knowledge and understanding of basic fundamentals of music composition.
- Theologically Sound – must be grounded theologically in the Roman Catholic tradition.
- Liturgically Relevant – must spring forth from the liturgy, not be inserted into it.
- Properly Notated – must be engraved in a way that is “print ready.”
* The decision over whether or not a composition is musically, liturgically, theologically, or pastorally appropriate will be determined at the sole discretion of SLC.
